Reading Borough Council is inviting expressions of interest from organisations to deliver arts, culture and/or heritage community programmes by, with and for disadvantaged Readingresidents in order to contribute to improving people’s life chances and their quality of life .
Programmes will work in partnership to address social challenges and improve the health, well-being and economic success of communities. They should address the needs of local people, particularly those who are hard-to-reach and less likely to access cultural opportunities.
The fund is part of Reading, Place of Culture, supported by the Great Place Scheme, funded by Heritage Lottery Fund, Arts Council England and Historic England.
For 2018/19, there are three Cultural Commission funds, which will be funded for £15,000 each. This is a pilot year and the cultural commissioning programme will be further developed in years 2 and 3. As a result of this procurement, the Council intends to award 3 separate contracts to 3 separate organisations and each contract will carry a term of 12 months.
Organisations interested in expressing an interest in this procurement should download the procurement documents which are available on the Council`s e-tendering system
