Calling all Reading arts organisations,

BBC Berkshire will be making a short film highlighting the great arts and cultural scene in Reading as part of their support for the Reading Cultural Awards 2019. The film, which will cover the last 12 months, will be premiered at the Cultural Awards Ceremony on 24 June and will be promoted as a showcase of arts, culture and heritage in Reading by Reading UK thereafter.

We want to make sure the film is a true reflection of the great work done since June 2018. From Festivals like Reading Pride to the re-opening of the Abbey, great gigs, parades, dance shows, theatre or exhibitions…

To make sure you are included, please send us your video footage OR high res images by 17 May. All arts organisations contributing will be credited in the film.

Formats:-

  • Video – wherever possible the BBC would prefer raw footage or original video footage or original videos (it is possible to take stuff from YouTube but quality can really suffer).
  • Photos – they can work with pretty much any common photo format, but in terms of pixel size 1920 x 1080 is the gold standard for best re-production.

How to send:-

Please send files by https://wetransfer.com/  to alex@livingreading.co.uk  with subject – Arts Film 2019. Please also include the relevant credit in the file title.

To see how your footage/images will be used, please see last year’s film here.
